Assignments

Week of May 10th - Design Critique Due

You need to complete a poster design critique on Google Classroom this week. If you didn't turn your portfolio in last week, you need to complete that this week and complete last week's Classroom question too.

Week of May 4th - Portfolios

Your portfolio will be your final project of the year! You will have a critique grade still and Classroom questions to answer though.

Portfolios will not be officially due by this Friday. You will need to complete the Classroom question once your portfolio is complete so it will be graded. That means if you got it done last week, but want to continue to improve it, you can!

Next week you will have a critique to complete. Lastly, if you are concerned about your current grade, there is an extra credit opportunity below. Make sure you all are staying in contact with Mr. Wiant with any concerns you have.

Due:

Today-Friday: Complete the Classroom question once you save your portfolio rubric correctly and it is ready to be graded. Directions for the rubric are below. Portfolios won't be graded until this Classroom question is completed.

Friday 5/8: Portfolios are due

Friday 5/22: Extra credit is due. Extra Credit details are Here

You will finalize your portfolios this week by using the partner feedback you got last week and adding the final elements for your website. If you did not participate in the critique last week, you will need to email Mr. Wiant to see how you can raise your grade. Your partner may have not completed your critique yet too. You will be notified as soon as your partner completes the critique though.

Week of April 13th ~ GD2 Portfolio Website ~ Design Cycle

Objective:

You will continue working on our portfolio sites. Remember, these sites will continue to be worth a grade this year and next year. So, take your time to complete these correctly so you don’t have more work in the future.

Directions:

You will create a Design Cycle page, which will showcase your design process for just one design of your choice.

Requirements - Design Cycle:

1. A new page is created that is titled Design Cycle.

2. Included elements are:

- Project Title

- A paragraph about what your original goal and what type of inspiration were you using in this design. Look back at what you wrote for your objective.

- Images of your sketch and inspiration pieces. Title these sections so the viewer knows what they are looking at.

- An image of your final design.

- Write a reflection on your final design. Discuss what you like about your design and why, what struggles you may have had in your design and how you created your design.

Examples:

Portfolio Website Example

Albert's Website

Tru's Website

Remember, you need to have these other requirements completed. These should have been completed last semester

Original Portfolio Requirements:

1. Home Page - This page needs to catch the viewer’s attention. You can use one of your strong designs, a quote, or whatever else you think will do this. Look online at examples.

2. Portfolio
